Now seventeen years of age music came very early to Rylee. He grew up listening to his Grandfather and three great uncles performing country music in their band "The Lum Brothers". His grandfather made his mark as the lead singer for the band. As a result, country music was born in Rylee's blood. 


Rylee was 12 he when presented with the "New York State Country Music Hall of Fame Horizon Award", now his picture and the plaque are on display in the Hall of Fame Museum. Rylee and his family make regular trips to Nashville. While in Nashville, he first performed at Tootsies on Broadway, when he was 12. Rylee was invited back to perform with one of their house bands at Tootsies as well as other locations like, Rippy's and Honky Tonk Central during CMA Fest 2019. He has been a guest performer at Music CIty Bar & Grill with the Music City Playboys. Also in 2019, Rylee traveled to Arkansas to be an opening act for the Kentucky Head Hunters. Rylee served as an opening act for Randy Houser at "Frog Fest 31" in Rome, NY 


in June of 2020. Rylee went back to Nashville and recorded his first 5 song EP of all original songs. Rylee continues to write his own music, and his current band of professional musicians have all lived and played in Nashville at at various times. 


His influences are Merle Haggard, George Strait, Alan Jackson and other legends of real country music. 


Recently, Rylee was nominated for the 2023 USA Male Country Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year by the International Singer Song Writer Association. He also holds nominations as 2023 Up Coming Star-Male, Male Shining Star, Male Country Voice of The Year and for his original work, "Drinkin' My Blues Away", as Country Song of The Year. On July 1st, 2023, Rylee had the honor of opening for Maddie & Tae at The Southern Tier Music Festival. 


Currently, Rylee is writing new songs for an upcoming EP with a planned release in the spring of 2024.
